Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: May 4, 2026 · Effective: May 4, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") supplements the Terms of Service and applies to anyone using Session™ Vault. The short version: use the Service for legitimate music-creation and music-business purposes; respect intellectual property; don't attack the Service or other users. The detailed version follows.

1. Content rules

You will not upload, store, share, or otherwise make available through the Service:

  • Audio, artwork, lyrics, metadata, or any other content you do not have all necessary rights to use, including copyrights, master rights, mechanical rights, sample clearances, performer/featured-artist consents, and similar.
  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind. Confirmed CSAM results in immediate account termination, permanent ban, and reporting to NCMEC and law enforcement.
  • Content that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, harassing, hateful, or that incites violence against any individual or group.
  • Content that violates another person's privacy, publicity, or contractual rights (for example, leaked sessions you weren't authorized to record or distribute).
  • Malware, exploit code, or content that probes, attacks, or otherwise compromises any system.
  • Spam, phishing content, or any material designed to deceive or defraud the recipient.

2. Service rules

You will not:

  • Reverse-engineer or attack the Service. Don't decompile, disassemble, scrape, crawl, or attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, or structure of Session™ Vault, the watermark, the watermark detector, any DRM, or any access-control mechanism. Don't probe, port-scan, or attempt to access another user's data.
  • Resell or rebrand. Don't resell, sublicense, white-label, or rebrand the Service, in whole or in part, without a separate written agreement with Capiscana.
  • Bypass technical limits. Don't circumvent storage quotas, share-count limits, rate-limits, watermarking, or any other technical protection measure.
  • Fair use of "Unlimited" tier features. Vault Black includes unlimited tracks within reasonable creative-use parameters: a working catalog of records, sessions, stems, and reference material an active artist or producer would maintain. Bulk-archival accounts (over 100,000 tracks), accounts used as cold-storage backup of unrelated material, or accounts whose usage looks like infrastructure rather than catalog management may be subject to a soft cap, a usage review, or a tier adjustment after written notice. We will work with the small number of users this affects in good faith before any change.
  • Automate. Don't use bots, scrapers, scripts, or automated tools to access the Service except as expressly permitted by a published API.
  • Abuse share invitations. Don't use the recipient-invitation feature to send unsolicited bulk email or otherwise spam people.
  • Share accounts. Each account is for a single individual. Don't share your password or let someone else sign in as you. Teams should use one account per member.
  • Impersonate. Don't sign up using someone else's name, email, or identity.

3. Security & password requirements

  • The Service enforces a minimum password length of 10 characters at signup.
  • You're responsible for the security of your account credentials. Use a unique password generated and stored by a password manager.
  • Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. DMCA & copyright

Willful copyright infringement is grounds for immediate account termination. Repeat infringers will be terminated under our DMCA repeat-infringer policy. To file a DMCA takedown notice or counter-notice, see the DMCA Policy.

Reporting violations. If you encounter content or activity on Session™ Vault that violates this AUP, email [email protected] with a description and any evidence (URLs, screenshots, share links). For copyright-specific complaints, follow the DMCA takedown procedure.

5. Enforcement

We may, at our sole discretion, take any of the following actions in response to a violation of this AUP:

  • Issue a warning;
  • Remove or disable access to specific content;
  • Revoke a share link;
  • Suspend the account temporarily;
  • Terminate the account and all associated data;
  • Report the activity to law enforcement or other appropriate authorities;
  • Pursue any other remedy available at law or in equity.

For severe violations (CSAM, willful infringement, attacks on the Service, or activity that exposes us or our providers to material legal risk), we will terminate without prior notice and without a grace period.

6. Contact

Questions about this AUP, or reports of a violation, should go to [email protected].
